Game: Super Mario 64 DS
Platform: Do I need to say?
Publisher: Nintendo
What did you expect when you first picked up this game? I
expected some sort of sequel but it wasn't. Instead, it was a remake, but what updates were in the game.
expected some sort of sequel but it wasn't. Instead, it was a remake, but what updates were in the game. In Super Mario DS, you can either play as Wario, Luigi, Yoshi and of course Mario only after you save them in the castle. You must use the various cast to maneuver through the levels and collect power stars. The game felt sorta awkward. Like the movement, you had to either use the stylus or the control pad. Other disfuctions like the way you have to switch characters may make you very impatient; you have to go to the room where the slip and slide is on the second floor and walk in a door to exchange characters. This gets very annoying, especially if you have to use the character just for a minute. Instead of 120 stars in the game, there is 150. In each course, there are now seven stars{not including the coin star}. Other than that, the game is very challenging, and the courses are all still in the same place. If you are a new DS owner, I wouldn't recommend you getting this game yet. 4/5
{On the Top screen is where the action happens, the bottom is your map around the course.}
